Steve, I didn't have time to elaborate, but it appears that the marketmaker's job is made difficult by the small daytrader getting in the way of their orders or situations (putting this politely). I think the only use they would have of the small daytrader is to influence them into selling or buying/covering, especially in a thin stock. I wouldn't expect strategy advice, though I saw a post from a marketmaker that looks like the real deal. I don't know if knowing how they work can make you money, though. They still have all the good cards.
