Hi Penni, yes Ryan is getting very excited. He keeps asking all kinds of Santa questions which keep stumping my wife, like...How does Santa watch everyone? How does he know if I've been good or bad?

It's a real kick!

I can't wait till Friday night. There is this great guy at the shipyard who is the spitting image of Santa. He has this side business during this time of year where he dresses up and visits houses to check in on the kids. Kinda corny I know, but we always have a party and invite our friends and neihbors over and Santa magically appears for about an hour. The looks on the kids faces is a killer! We didn't do it last year because we were in Florida for vacation with the grandfolks, so I'm particularly looking forward to it this year.

No, not as grandiose as Chevy Chase :-) but the weather broke here yesterday and it was actually sunny so I took advantage and did the complete roof line, and every window!

Have a great day Penni, and if that newspaper isn't printing your stories start sending them to the Boston Globe the Washington Post or dare I say the San Francisco Chronicle! They sure could use some clear headed writing. <gg>

Michael

penni - here's a potentially dangerous but fun and
informative sight. it's specifically for mystery writers,
but i'd think alot of discussion would cross over to other
areas of writing.

zott.com

and for some general things on publishing - geared to the
web. there's a good article on information addiction.<ggg>

Here comes the cutesy twinkly little nicey nicey Christmas fairy, floating and flitting on red and green sparkly gossamer wings, smiling and nodding and singing sweetsy little singie songies of yuletide joy. Falalala Laaaaa La Laaa Laaaa Laaaa....

Here comes Thomas with butterfly net and balpeen hammer.

Actually, contrary to the above implication, I really do love Christmas. But I hate hate hate hate Jingle Bell Rock. Gag me please. An abomination. I don't know just why mall music deploys this number in seeming preference to all others. Does it make people spend more money or something? I make telephone calls to malls before going to them to see if they include Jingle Bell Rock on their Muzak. On the other hand, my favorite Christmas song has always been "The Little Drummer Boy."
