Next support level is $4 7/16. I don't think it will go that low. So far selling pressure is anemic at best so I expect prices to hover at current levels as end of year portfolio adjustments are made. Xoma is not at its 52 week low, so I would not expect selling for tax loss purposes. Technical indicators suggest drifting of price is more related to lack of new buyers than abundance of sellers. I expect continued consolidation until we get closer to a trial completion or a deal is announced. Watch for increases in volume and what happens to stock price. Good volume with an up day is positive, even if the uptick is small. Reverse is true for down day. As long as volume is abnormally low (below 400,000 shares) don't put much significance in price direction.
