Nikita:

Thanks for the early post! It's most appreciated.

Those estimates you gave were, of course, Cowen's, the only house to cover the issue thus far. When Cowen reinitiated coverage, I said that--notwithstanding their buy rating--I was disappointed with the estimates, and simply couldn't understand them in light of my own analysis of the 10Q. For that matter, I couldn't understand why their own estimates justified a buy rating at all. Unless they've changed them, they have estimates for 1998 of $.87!

Well, we just blew their estimates away! Is there any reason for them not to go to strong buy now?

Did the release you read give any indication of the current backlog and new order level? I'll be anxiously awaiting the 10Q, and will share with all my usual quarterly anaylsis, which last quarter was at least much closer than Cowen's.

Best regards

P.S. one final word to all concerning the current market. remember, this is a very undervalued stock. It should be at at least $18.00 based on these results, eps vs. growth rate. APSG's fortunes really has nothing whatsoever to do with the current turmoil in Asia, except perhaps, maybe more engineers will become available if high tech and defense companies are forced to cutback!
Again, this is exactly the sort of stock one should be buying in this situation.
