Tea bagger is a term made up by and for sexual deviants. I stand by my above statement. The term existed long before the modern tea party. The Tea Party is mostly common church going people so they did not know of the pre existing meaning. Those who did know should not have made fun of that, many were flawed because they did know.

It took at least several days of being laughed at before they realized their error... I remember that too. The initial error was not universal, and even for those who were making the error, the misunderstanding was cleared up by people like you relatively quickly. I had never heard about the sexual connection until you and others reported your own experience with the sexual practice. In any event, it was cleared up years ago. People who continue to mislabel Tea Party members as "Tea Baggers" intend some sort of annoyance to Tea Partiers and right wingers who empathize with Tea Partiers, and some comic effect for doltish left wing beevas and butthead types. The humor was wrung out of this within those first several days of the revelation. Since then seeing the term posted by Shepard and others on this thread is just an eye roller. tsk
