When you advertise past identified "buying opportunities" given in the newsletter on the radio, one would assume the idea is you would get those if you paid for "Marketimer." With this message, he's placing the responsibility of pulling the trigger on any purchases of stock with the listener and advising the listener / subscriber to do their own individual work necessary to satisfy them personally that they perceive the market is weak. I agree. As for the "MarkeTIMER" title of his newsletter, it sort of implies your getting Bob's brilliant calls on when to buy & sell stock/mutual funds. It takes a while to come to the conclusion that the title could be a tool to generate subscriptions. Who was it who said "You've gotta have a gimmick" :-) He often made fun of the "church of buy and hold" and did not call the newsletter "buy and Holder."
