Bill, I think the January effect this time may be different. I don't think we will see a broad based bounce in the small caps, because uncertainty is too high at the moment. However, selected stocks that have been sold off in the last few weeks, due to tax reasons or other factors, should see the usual strong January effect.

Can't add any value by answering your sector question. Biotech and technology in general are the areas that I follow in the US market. Don't have any special knowledge in other industries. Sorry.

Bill,

Just to interject, I think that areas to look for are companies who do a lot of their building of components, etc. in Asian countries, as their costs actually would be going down. Don't know of a whole industry in particular like this, so I guess it makes it a market to be selective....like you wouldn't be anyway!
