Why is MSFT down over 4 points today on top of last week?

Yes I know about the browser wars, Asia, and a possible slow '98 due to the possible delay of Windows 98 - but is there more? Are we missing something?

I would hope that MSFT would lead the NAZ up, not down.

I have a long position.

I agree about being leery about 1998. You are talking about fiscal 1998 right? I think the second half of calendar 1998 or the first half of their 1999 year will be the beginning of a nice, nice run for Microsoft as far as rolling out a couple of products that they have put a lot of time and effort into...NT 5.0 and Win98. I personally do not use NT but having read the publications and keeping up with my industry rags, the upgrade cycle associated with NT 5.0 could be real large as far as revenue penetration into existing UNIX shops. I am hoping this is the case.
