The whole "logo" issue was pretty funny.

Its implementation lacked forethought. Surprised?

It's ridiculous for me to get the following message when I review/post on YOUR thread:

Moderators: Upload a logo for your SI discussion board, and join the gallery!

Even worse ... non-members get the same message. How useless is THAT ??

They also used a problematic display format for the time of update/upload of the logo. Monday, yesterday, etc. What happens if I upload a logo, then update it 9 times one day? It will still show the same day as the original upload. Not very helpful, is it?

While it might not make much difference with logos, it *can* have undesirable side effects with the date/time of posts. The SI guys probably won't recognize that exposure, but frequent users of the forums might want to know at a glance at what time various people posted various content. And, they won't want to be required to open each post to see that info, or even to list 10 at a time. That takes too much time. Time is money, especially in investment related forums.

It wouldn't take much thought/effort to improve the environment there. Letting worker-bees learn by doing whatever they dream up is NOT the way to develop either the product or the employee. They all need to learn how to THINK like a developer of quality software products. They really need experienced leadership.

Sadly, that ain't gonna' happen.

That's too bad. The platform is there and soooo close to being the King of the Hill. But, not with a restrictive atmosphere where users' inputs are treated as an imposition instead of as a possible improvement.

Sure is a pretty day.
