<Yep, we did that too, but everyone was doing that back then; but we also formed the first great democracy the world ever saw.<

I guess the Indians had never heard of "imminent domain" back then.. "Home of the Free, Land of the Brave", as long as your Freedom doesn't interfere with our "imperialism".

Hmmm.. Well, I am not as "educated" as you purport to be... But, I thought they told me in HS Govt. class that Greece was the first Democracy and so called "inventor" of Democracy?

See what I mean about "formalized education" and that "thinking inside the box" issue.. School taught me, via my more educated teacher, that it was Greece, but then to come find out decades later that it was actually the US from you, who claims to be more educated than those of us in the undereducated 99%..

But, I thought the US was actually a "Representative Republic"??

I mean, in 2001 Gore won the Popular Vote over Bush, but Bush became President due to the "Electoral Vote".

In a true Democracy, everyone votes and you count them, hanging chads and all. One with the most votes wins.. Anything less than that.. and there is no "Great Democracy". But then again, these are all ideas taught to me in HS, which can obviously be trumped by the College Grads with more education.

What can I say.... Should have gone to College

Who Knew?
