>> So you can go on and on with your poppycock about how Asians and other groups in America have adapted so well but none of those groups, including your ancestors, ever had to go thru what blacks experienced. None.

So I understand you correctly, you are suggesting that blacks living today continue to feel the effects of trauma sustained by their distant ancestors as far back as the 1860s?

I'd really like to see the proof of that.

Its rather amazing that you need to see some proof. You accuse me of not reading.....frequently.......but I have to ask...........what do you do in your spare besides posting here?

In any case, there are numerous studies that show that certain conditions like alcoholism, drug addiction, abusive behavior, psychic trauma, etc.........are passed down from generation to generation. Actually there are several factors............social, family, environmental, and genetic factors that may contribute to a condition. The high levels of alcoholism, drug addiction, familial dysfunction, violence, etc in the black community reflect the trauma sustained over centuries.

I noticed this right away when I managed an apt building near the University of Texas and had some black tenants from Africa. They have no tradition of being slaves or Jim Crow. They are proud, conficent men who are sure they are the equal of any white. No so our blacks, in the main.
