We have gotten past that. The laws, culture, society, institutions, and the majority of individuals make it very clear intolerance on the basis of color, sex, religion, and creed will not be tolerated. However... if you are expecting perfect and just conditions everywhere you look, find a different planet. Before you do stop and give an honest appraisal of Obama's performance. He is doing most of what he said he would do. He never claimed to be good at handling foreign conflict or domestic social unrest ... and he's not good at those things. It has nothing to do with race. I like the guy and wouldn't mind hanging with him, as long as politics weren't the venue. His problems with conservatives have nothing to do with his race, they have to do with fundamental political agendas and everyone knows it. Of course you can find a hateful bigot if you look for them but that will never change and it isn't a characteristic of either political party.
