gangsta rap is an entirely different class of protest lyrics - not in the same spirit as 5 to 1 or other 60's and 70's Vietnam songs. I did see the rap songs do mention that they don't want their ho's to get pregnant and then try to be gold diggers - even they recognize the issue within their culture. Yes the attitude is not unique but it is far more prevalent and celebrated by media and pop culture icons. Again these icons are their role models and pretty poor ones at that.
