Yes. We do know that Brown did not have a gun. MAYBE (and we don't know), he tried to hit the officer. Or maybe he tried to take his gun. But if he tried to take his gun, he didn't have one.

That may be Z's rule.

Many police officers draw their weapons frequently, some routinely, some daily. That doesn't mean they stick it in anyone's face. It would depend on where the officer is working and what kind of work they do.

It is dangerous work and it pays to be cautious.
