the eye witness said Brown turned and charged the cop, he said he thought the officer kept missing with all the shots, brown was a big guy and might have been in something.

I guess the cop should have gotten into the fetal position and died quickly, as shep would have done.

Six times. What's the excuse this time..........he couldn't stop because the adrenalin was pumping???
Some cops are total cowards that only feel secure when surrounded by other officers. Once when commuting to work in S. Cal on my VFR, I had to stop to get gas. When re-entering the freeway, I liked to do so faster than the traffic, so I was probably doing 80 when I hit the top of the ramp, and just happned to merge with a cop behind me, who pulled me over for speeding.

I pulled over, wearing my black motorcycle jacket and black helmet, and the young cop unsnapped his pistol holster as I removed my helmet. His hand was trembling. When I reached inside the jacket for my liscence, he actually DREW the pistol. I put my hands in the air, and told him I was just getting my liscence!

I very slowly did so, and he re-holstered the pistol. A tense situation.

Ted,
My God. Six times. What's the excuse this time...
Cops are trained to shoot that many times when lives are in danger.

Many years ago, after the Columbine massacre, I volunteered (along with about a hundred other "civilians") to be part of a police training exercise in a local elementary school. The exercise was meant to simulate a Columbine-like crisis for the officers. The officers carried hand weapons loaded with soap bullets.

I got to play the bad guy one time. I wore a helmet with a face shield (for my protection, of course) along with a heavy jacket. I simulated holding a poor guy hostage with a shotgun. When the police came around the corner and saw me, they opened fire and did not stop until I fell to the ground. Then they came over, secured the shotgun, and made sure I was "dead" before the referee blew the horn ending the training exercise.

I must have been hit a total of 15 times. One even in the nut sack, ouch. Served me right for "taking hostages," LOL.

Anyway, it was in the Pacific Northwest, so I'm sure there are other police training exercises just like that one which you can volunteer for and educate yourself on what police have to go through.

>> 've never recovered from the Trayvon Martin shooting.

PTSD?

>> This shit has got to stop. Our kids are going to have to live in a minority majority country. That won't work if the cops shoot people of color at the drop of a hat.

Neither you nor anyone else here knows what actually happened. One cannot infer from the six shots that it was murder or it wasn't.

Eventually, there will be an internal investigation. If, at the end of that, they find no wrongdoing, lawsuits will be filed and the facts will come out. But to react as though it was murder when the facts aren't in is not consistent with the rule of law. But the rioting needs to stop before more people get killed.

Having Jackson, Sharpton, and Holder stirring up emotions is unhelpful. Holder should not be involved in any way, shape or form. This is why this administration is seen as creating racial division.

" I've never recovered from the Trayvon Martin shooting." You should probably tune out the news. You shouldn't be emotionally involved in things that don't affect you personally.
