.... Andy Gaynier, 26, was tragically shot by Dallas police when he aggressively rushed a Dallas officer after being told to stay where he was. The shooting mirrors the Michael Brown shooting in St Louis, only this one won’t make the news. Gaynier is the wrong color and Democrats have quit trying to win back white voters.
The shooting of the unarmed white man has the entire Dallas white community enraged. To protest, thousands of Texans got up early and went to work today. .....

[ Look how gentle he looks. ]

Update at 4 p.m., Aug. 11, by Tristan Hallman:

Attorney Bill Kennedy released this statement on the shooting: “The Gaynier family is shocked and heartbroken by this loss. Andy was unarmed and was shot multiple times by a police officer. This tragic situation is beyond comprehension. Andy was only 26 and the proud father of a 19-month-old son. At this point, we are waiting for the Dallas Police Department to conclude their investigation.”

[ Where are the liberals protesting this??? He was unarmed. And shot more than once. ]

Hudson’s attorney Lance Wyatt declined comment.

Updated at Noon, Aug. 11, by Tristan Hallman: The shooting was captured on private video, which shows that Gaynier charged at the officer, said Maj. Jeff Cotner of the crimes against persons division.

Gaynier’s criminal history in Dallas County includes arrests and convictions for assault and theft. He has also been arrested for multiple other charges that have been dismissed. Dallas County records show no charges filed on him since 2009.

But Gaynier was convicted of misdemeanor family violence assault in January in Collin County.

Updated at 9:40 p.m.: A man believed to be unarmed was fatally shot by a Dallas police officer in North Oak Cliff on Sunday.

The officer, working off-duty on Extended Neighborhood Patrol, responded to the 100 block of North Windomere about 6 p.m. in response to a 911 call about a man walking up and down the street making lewd comments to women, said Maj. Jeff Cotner, who oversees the violent crimes section of the Crimes Against Persons Division.

The officer, who was in uniform driving a marked car, followed the man down South Rosemont Avenue while waiting for cover. He saw the man stop and attempt to get into a vehicle that had a family inside. The officer got out of his car and told the man to stop out of concern for the family’s safety, but the man refused to comply.

The man moved toward the officer in “a manner perceived to be dangerous to the officer,” Cotner said.

The officer shot the man multiple times. Officers attempted to render aid until Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived. He was pronounced dead at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

“At this time we don’t have a weapon for the suspect,” Cotner said.
