Apparently he intimidated and shook down the guy at the convenience store- hardly "shoplifting", and some of the reports I read said he approached the police car and scuffled with the officer AND he has an arrest record. No, I don't think shoplifters deserve to be shot. But there are a lot of scum criminals out there of all colors and ages, and if they get taken out by the police I'm not all that upset about it. I don't know if this very large and intimidating young man was one of the scum- but as it looks now, it's certainly not the kind of case that I think deserves a bunch of rioting. But then I was pretty sure OJ was guilty, too- and I thought that rioting after the verdict was the height of unproductive stupidity. The Martin case is the one that deserve this sort of response- not this case. So we'll just have to disagree on this.
