Apparently he intimidated and shook down the guy at the convenience store- hardly "shoplifting", and some of the reports I read said he approached the police car and scuffled with the officer AND he has an arrest record.

No, I don't think shoplifters deserve to be shot. But there are a lot of scum criminals out there of all colors and ages, and if they get taken out by the police I'm not all that upset about it. I don't know if this very large and intimidating young man was one of the scum- but as it looks now, it's certainly not the kind of case that I think deserves a bunch of rioting. But then I was pretty sure OJ was guilty, too- and I thought that rioting after the verdict was the height of unproductive stupidity.

The Martin case is the one that deserve this sort of response- not this case.

So we'll just have to disagree on this.

That was not shop lifting.
He assaulted and intimidated the owner of that store.
That is called strong arm robbery.

He was a 300 lb thug, plain and simple.
Prove it to yourself.
