I remember thinking the exact same thing at the time. No way the U.S. is going to actually invade Iraq with ground troops, surely we learned our lesson in Vietnam and also how the Russians got their asses kicked in Afghanistan despite superior military... people tend to get really pissed when you invade their countries and point guns at them and torture them and bomb them... it's really amazing how incompetent the neocons were/are

Thanks. Frontline is one of the best news programs on TV, partly because the commercial networks now do such a lousy job. Looks well worth watching and I will be checking it out later this week.
