Recent Scientific Breakthroughs by Muslims Under Obama, NASA’s foremost mission is the following, according to its administrator, Charles Bolden: “…perhaps foremost, [Obama] wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science … and math and engineering.” Students of history are under the misapprehension that the only scientific accomplishments to come out of the Muslim world were acquired from subjugated peoples centuries ago, like the “Arabic” numerals that are really from India. Actually, we are in a golden age of Muslim scientific enlightenment. We just needed for NASA to abandon the space program and dedicate itself to raising awareness of this fact.
