Of course nothing is certain, but he'd have to be the dumbest reporter in America to go there with out some degree of awareness this would happen in the situation he inserted himself in.

Yes, of course he went to get a story. He's a writer/reporter. It's his job. But the way the cops there are treating the media is terrible and that is part of the story. Media should certainly be hands off, but that's anything but the case. The cops seem to take some glee in going after the media.

And that's not just in St. Louis.
