<I repeat..........I have not seen any significant change in food prices overall. For the foods that I get the prices are essentially the same for the past 3 years with only minor variations<

Fair Enough.. I don't know where you trade, so I am not qualified to discount your personal experiences. At my local Costco. A 5 lb. bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese is now almost $16. Last year is was $12.50.

Here is a report by the "Cheese Reporter", and I am pretty sure this is not one of those wacko Right Wing news outlets.

cheesereporter.com

Jan. Y/Y wholesale prices for 40lb block of Cheddar Cheese (Price per pound)

2014 $2.22/lb
2013 $1.69/lb
2012 $1.55/lb
2011 $1.51/lb
2010 $1.45/lb
2009 $1.08/lb

This represents over 100% price increase in 5 years.

Perhaps you local store where you do your trading has such a high margin, and has been selling you 1lb of Cheese for $8 for so long, that they can absorb the $1/lb. cost increase.

Products that use Cheese/Beef, etc have also shown significant price increases.
