I don't remember that.

Ted,
I have already acknowledged that I am racist a couple of years ago.
Acknowledgement isn't enough. Even Bentway acknowledges that he's a sinner ... then gives the middle finger to God.

I think you have a tendency to overplay the race card, probably because you think that will make up for your sin of racism.

There's no need to. If you look around, there are plenty of issues regarding race that need your attention. You don't have to cry wolf.

Here's an example: I have a high school friend, a white girl, who adopted a black daughter. Just the other day at the playground, one of the white kids saw both mom and daughter and kept asking the daughter, "Why aren't you white? Why aren't you white?" The mother approached the girl and responded, "Why aren't you brown?" A tense staredown commenced, which fortunately ended without incident.

I don't know whether the parents of the girl taught her to be racist, or whether the comment was out of spontaneous curiosity over a black daughter not looking like her white mother. In any case, there needs to be a long talk, even with a 6-year-old, or else she'll grow up despising people that don't look like herself.
