Well done Wharfie, you have noticed that the end of the Little Ice Age meant snow cover did not extend to such low altitudes as it did. As I mentioned, the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers have retreated kilometres up the mountains. A 0.33 degree Celsius temperature increase can tell you about how far up the snow cover will retreat. The Alarmist Eric can probably tell you about the temperature change with altitude and Land Shark should be able to copy/paste something about it. Mqurice
