<The US military has an even older policy of leaving nobody behind. Apparently the morale of the troops we are told to support is enhanced by the knowledge that the military will do its utmost to get them out of captivity, < Well as of last record, there are ~1,700 MIA/POW's from the Vietnam/Korean Conflicts/Wars If I were in the military and concerned about moral, I would be more worried about 1,700 servicemen that WERE LEFT BEHIND than a single disgruntled / disturbed solider that decided to leave his post unarmed and wonder off in the night, which then caused casualties of other US Solider's attempting to keep from leaving him "Behind".
