Dear Mark,

I'll see what we can do to make the controls easier to access and the explanation more concise.

I couple of ideas I had towards this purpose might be:

- We might rename the feature to hide posts from members on your ignore list to "Thread Ignore" versus present "Ignore is On" / "Ignore is Off" which doesn't quite convey the full message of what this feature does with respect to those members on one's ignore list..

- We might add hover support to turning "Thread Ignore" on or off for usernames on one's Ignore list when viewing the message listings on the Subject page -- although in general I dislike sites that excessively use hover functionality, so I'm less certain on this one.

We have limited development resources, and we have to prioritize our efforts. Some issues have to become ripe (or a solution thereof must) before they are addressed. I do not work off of squeakiest wheel principal, as much as this may bother some Members.

Regards,

@Dima

It only takes one click.

What could be easier and more accessible and almost always accessible than observing the setting of

Ignore is Off/Ignore is On?

If you want to change it, click or tap it. It's may be a waste of time for Dmitry to consider how to implement it better. His advice to go to Settings revealed he, too, doesn't know or didn't know the Settings setting is overridden and changes when you change it on the thread pages.

It's many more keystrokes to do it through the Settings.

Are there people who want the Ignore is On set per thread, rather than for all threads?

What do you think is wrong about how it works now? Do you want the setting to also display on the create message page? Or someplace else?

I think it works, simply.
