I was merely observing that your assertion about California suggests that most of us are doing quite well despite being hated by so many who are so ignorant of what living in California is really like. What percentage of Ohioans are doing well vs. not so good? I'd bet the ratio is quite similar. People keep forgetting that California is so large and includes so many people -- about the same as live in all of Canada (Ohio has about 11.2 million) live in California with about 70% of Californians living on the coast and doing just fine. The remaining Californians are probably somewhere on a par with the 32 Ohio counties considered part of Appalachia.
