I watched the first three episodes of Orange and it just didn't stick with me. It's not as heavy as Oz but there's clearly bummer overtones with a few chuckles thrown in.

I heard a radio discussion of the most binged watched series of all time. They said it was:

1. Breaking Bad
2. House of Cards
3. Game of Thrones

Orange was mentioned. My son Sean is binging his way through Mad Men at the moment. He sent me a text yesterday saying, "Bye Bye Layne Price!"

I watched about a season and a half of Oz way back when, and then just let it go. As I recall, it was fairly intense at times. I'm planning on seeing "Orange" sometime, but understand that's somewhat of a comedy.

I watched the first four episodes of "Orange is the next Black" this week. It's definitely much lighter in tone than Oz, but I think it's pretty good in it's own "dramedy" kind of way. It's kind of addictive, and it probably won't keep you up nights :)
