"I don't expect much from my Government. " i expect a whole lot from mine. It built Hoover Dam, won WW2, built the interstate highway system, went to the moon, invented the internet to tell us about it, discovered the AIDs virus, and came up with some life-saving drugs. It also lifted more than a few people out of poverty... cbpp.org aging.senate.gov It's called American exceptionalism, and it's a tough act to follow.

The main problem is easy availability of guns. The world keeps laughing at the US. An overseas friend of mine once quipped that "In America, food is not as easily available to the poor as guns are. And after Americans are done with killing one another on their streets, they then come to foreign lands to kill innocents on foreign streets such as in Baghdad and Kabul." What do you think I should have told them "Fuck off!!!" I hope not that that is our suggestions. These are not the "duck Dynasty" / FOX News types. Many of them are PhDs with accomplished and proven skills in of active and logical thinking.
