The Ukraine has 40 million people. Its the second largest country in europe with the 27th largest economy in the world, just behind S. Korea's economy....and would be larger if it wasn't so corrupt. We are not talking about some bauble or island republic. The Ukraine has many important industries and is a major agricultural producer.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but the West should never have forced the Ukraine to give up its nukes.
