Are the Mormons killing each other in gun battles? Roughing up store owners? Committing strong arm robberies?

Like most fundamental religions, especially newer ones, they're paranoid, and sure, they've got a really socially coercive element, but their children (generally) turn out to be decent tax paying citizens- which is really what most of us want from others (I know, it's a low bar, but it's an IMPORTANT low bar).

You know I don't like religions, but mostly because I dislike the way they'd like to take control of the ballot box and make the rest of us tow some given line- but ALL religions have the propensity. They are not, however, turning out dysfunctional adults who cannot make a living and who often turn to lives of crime.

Let's get a little bit real, here.

Me defending religion. Somewhere in the Pacific ocean gyres are being formed from the spinning ashes of my parents...
