>>Will you lose your sympathy for Brown if details emerge that are bad for him?

even if I discount the fact that Brown shoplifted and was a bit thuggish and may have mouthed off to the cop I still don't think he deserved to be shot 6-11 times being unarmed... I will certainly recognize any further details that emerge... I don't have any propensity to sympathize for him, just weighing the current apparent facts as they currently lie

>>he seemed a bit thuggish- as in the kind of person who would intimidate a store owner. My kids wouldn't do that..

Yes, no doubt Mr. Brown was a little different from you kids

Hmmmm? This isn't - can't - be an issue as to if Brown was a thug or not. That is beside the point because when a cop pulls someone over he doesn't know who the thug is and who the star student is. Unless of course the cop knew Brown - but in my mind that makes it just worse for the cop. Jay walking!!!! Give me a break. If the cop knew Brown, it looks like nothing more than thugism by the cop - "get off the street punk". Surely you don't justify the shooting if Brown has a juvenile record. Justifiable shooting of an 18 year old boy is justifiable ONLY if the cops life is endangered - or some other persons life is endangered. Having cops shoot off 11 shots in a neighborhood HAS the real possibility of hitting an innocent bystander - perhaps a child. Where did the other 5 shots go that did not hit Brown?

Sorta surprised at how you are buying into and promoting the "victim" is at fault narrative..

It is always how these events are twisted by those who seek to rationalize clearly egregious acts

These facts are incontrovertible, an unarmed black teen was executed on the street in Ferguson by a bullet thru his skull, after sustaining at least 5 other bullet wounds, including one thru his eye

I am sorry, you can make this kid out as the worst thug in Missouri

In the country I thought I lived in, armed police are not authorized to perform summary executions on anyone

..and I have sympathy for the officer

His wanton act has destroyed his life and that of his loved ones

But he is clearly not qualified to be a law enforcement officer, cause that ain't law enforcement, at least for most of us, nor should he be allowed to ever legally wield a weapon again..

...and apparently, so far, a strong case exists for him being in prison

Maybe there was one for Brown, too

But this cop made sure he will never face that music, and that is not how the system is supposed to work, nor can this action be excused or minimized

It was wrong and attempting to justify it is also wrong
