I am not saying that. I am saying that sometimes people act in a dangerous manner that makes other people afraid of them. If you are accosted in a park late at night- and one of the people who accosts you, grabs on to you, or hits you, is a small teenage girl in a nike running suit, with her hair in a pony tail, you might not fear for your life (although maybe she has a gun, and maybe you should), but if a Hell's angel in full regalia grabs you, you might respond differently. And here's the thing- LEGALLY your response only needs to be judged reasonable (for a regular person, or in the case of a cop, for a regular cop). That's why it matters. That's the law.
