The internet is a mixed blessing..

There are many vids showing how to make one from a key blank with the simple use of a file.

Nice of everyone to help the crooks...the dum 1s that don't already know how to make B&E tools.

PS..The writer gave an incorrect description of how the key functions...but..that's okay...lol.

wrong... "The energy from that thump is transferred up from the key's grooves and into the two layers of pins that normally keep the lock from rotating -- if you strike the bump key just right while trying to turn it, that top layer of pins will leap out of the way long enough for you to unlock the whole shebang. "

but close enuf, I spose...

I've worked/hobbied around w/locks since a youngster..first time was to keep bro out of my room...lol
masterkeyed to house door...

Thats why people need high security dead bolts. I have Medeco locks on my house. You can use a bump key in them and very hard to pick them. Only downfall is they are $350 dollars each.
