Bush in both 2000 and 2004, and I spent most of his presidency actively working against his administration with every tool at my disposal, but I never said or wrote that I would prefer that the country be led by a foreigner or a foreign leader. Not so, for many pundits on the right . Ann Coulter wants Benjamin Netanyahu to be our president, Erick Erickson wants David Cameron to be our president, and Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle would be okay with either Netanyahu or Vladimir Putin being our president. As much as we disliked Bush, it never would have dawned us to look for a leader outside the country. However, with wingers, there are a few things going on: First, their hatred of Obama knows no bounds. Just as they think they have him entrapped, he escapes.............with a round of applause. Secondly, he's plotted a new course for the US........one that no president has followed at least since WW II. Wingers love machismo and Obama REFUSES to celebrate machismo. Thirdly, Obama refuses to play the DC wingers' little games. They went him to have them over for pizza every Friday nite and do *kiss*kiss*. He doesn't have time for that BS. Fourthly, as CJ has aptly pointed out............wingers love authoritarianism [see machismo]. So authoritarian leaders like Netanyahu and Putin [Cameron may act authoritarian but really he's a weak teat] really, really impress wingers. I have always suspected wingers are masochists and like being slapped around a bit. Finally, truth be told, there are no viable American R leaders to admire. Paul, Bachmann, Ryan, Ole Mitt, Rubio, Cruz, Palin, Jindal, Perry..........what's there to love? They are two parts idjits and one part incompetent. So is it any wonder wingers have to look outside the country for a potential leader.
