Which Putin might see as just a reason to reach for the nukes, of which he still has plenty. Maybe. The fact that he is going down this path at all shows just how disconnected he is from reality. I imagine the US is quietly moving some nukes to NATO in case that is necessary. Putin has been playing a deadly game for a while. It isn't beyond belief that he has propped up Assad and meddling in the ME to distract the West from his plans for the Russian borders. The thing is, I don't think they were distracted all that much. It looks like ISIS caught everyone flat-footed. Almost as if their attention was somewhere else...
