This video is making the rounds on the Internet.

This guy fully understands and articulates perfectly what young blacks in this country don't get and how they have to change. Contrast it with the Sharpton/Jackson approach. This kid could well have politics in his future.

Its just another version of tough love. And it works with some people but not all people are able to overcome the negatives in their lives. There are white people who struggle in the same way and they don't face discrimination for their skin color on a regular basis. And blacks do need to work harder to improve their lives and not excuse themselves when they commit criminal acts.

That having been said, a black teen should not be shot dead by a cop because he was walking on the street instead of the sidewalk. A black teen should not be dead because he was walking home from a convenience store in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

The truth is the playing field in Ferguson was far from level. Whites ran a town that was predominately black and hired a police force that was predominately white whose police practices were from circa 1950. So you can admire this black guy because he preaches your party line but this country needs to continue to work on making the playing field more level for all players whatever their skin color is.
