I do not care what a person believes. They can believe in the giant spaghetti monster for all I care. What I am addressing is the culture behind the religion. And if it is venal then it should be shown as such. When a venal culture advocates things like sexism, racism and homophobia and teaches their kids that shit and then hides behind a religion then they are fair game. I could care less what Mormons believe as long as it does not hurt other people. But tell me the difference between what the Mormons did with their racist policies, with working so hard to defeat prop 8, defeating the equal rights amendment for women and making blatant racism, sexism and homophobia part of their culture, that is different than what the KKK preaches and does? I would love to hear this answer.
