There is real and awful racism in America - you can see it here as some of the comments are dripping with it! But as awful as that racism is, I think it is only getting worse - because you can't deny that many people here think of young blacks as thugs AND the prisons are ever full of young black men. The fact that our prisons are full of young black men and that many young black women are having babies as single parents isn't racism koan - IT IS FACT. .............Trying to find a different way forward for them, isn't racism, it is hope for a better way. A better America. >> We have not used the money in a scientific manner because the pubs have been in control for 50 years and they do not apply social science. They make rules according to their gut instincts and primitive ideas. e.g.Nixon vetoed free pre school. We and the poor, would be light years ahead of where we are now if that program had been in effect since Nixon. And the first thing the pubs did when in power was get rid of affirmative action. First thing Jeb did as gov of Florida. If the liberals had been in control lots would have gotten done.
