<If its bad for businesses, why are they employing only part time workers?< Because the Govt. has set the threshold of Full-Time Employment to 30 hours. Heck, Even France has Full-Time at 35 hours. This causes the poor lady in NJ, to now need multiple jobs to make what they used to make at just one. The Govt. sets the threshold, the business now has twice as many employees that it has to manage. The net result is the same at the end of the day, but the business has a greater burden, and the worker has a greater burden.
