re: You do not want a short term happy customer you want a reputation that you take care of your customers that is long term growth long term

You won't get a chance to create a long term customer if you don't give the users what they want in the near term. Even if the user isn't right, they have to FEEL like somebody cares. Now, check out the attitudes around here.

re: Customer wants bicycle tires on their new GMC truck make em happy but the tires won't work.

You're comparing that example to users requesting performance fixes, and/or more usable space on their screen -- like it used to be before their ill-advised "enhancements"? Wow. You're warped. Nobody is requesting that SI solve the world's hunger crisis, you know.

But, hey ... you're welcome to your opinion. Even though it appears to be in the minority around here.

Now, how about suggesting something that might help ALL the users. And, it ain't enhancing the logo feature.

Other users (customers) have suggested enhancements and they have been ignored. Perhaps you know somebody who can influence the decision makers?

If you want to discuss customer satisfaction, you should pick a forum where customers aren't already alienated by the attitudes of the people involved in decision making.

I can play this game for days on end. How 'bout you?

Sure is a pretty day.
