Rectify on Sundance channel

Daniel Holden was imprisoned as a teenager for the rape and murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend, Hanna. After spending 19 years on death row, new DNA evidence vacateshis original trial. He returns to his hometown of Paulie, Georgia. [5] The subsequent adjustments and events in the lives of Daniel, his extended family, and the townfolk are related as a character study in a slowly unfolding Southern Gothic story. [6]

The Bible-thumping prosecutor believes that the DNA is wrong and that Danial should be sent back to jail.

I remember that case from the early '80s. What a shame for those two guys. Combination of aggressive, racist cops and two fellows who were not too bright. I'm trying to remember when labs began to utilize DNA as evidence, wasn't it some time in the late '90's. We had another case like that not long ago.
