Psion Dacom - The Global Choice for Dell

CONCORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--December 15, 1997--Psion Dacom Inc. today announced it has been chosen to be a
worldwide supplier of 56K PC Card modems by Dell Computer Corporation [Nasdaq:DELL - news]. Psion Dacom was chosen on
the basis of quality, reliability and flexibility.

In light of the agreement and further expansion due to the widening of geographic markets, Psion Dacom anticipates significant
growth in 1998. The agreement with Dell is the first worldwide supply contract to be won by Psion Dacom since it announced its
global ambitions earlier this year. The product will be sold by Dell under Psion Dacom's own brand, Gold Card Global 56K PC
Card.

Commenting on the agreement, Psion Dacom CEO and Managing Director, Gareth Hughes said ''This is a major win for us
against severe competition and is a significant step in achieving our goal of becoming the world's leading supplier of mobile
computing communications solutions. We have had a successful Europe-wide supply relationship with Dell since March 1995, and

Dell will be offering Psion Dacom's Gold Card modems that include upgrade options for GSM wireless or ISDN connectivity.

multifunctionality on a single card, and protects the user's investment by making functionality upgrades a simple and inexpensive
process.

The Gold Card Global 56K PC Card is designed to meet the high performance requirements of business professionals who travel
extensively and need a high quality, reliable, multifunctional mobile communications solutions that can be employed both
domestically and internationally.
