My take on this is that we were bound to test the 30 day sma that we have been testing about every two weeks. We have come close this am but didn't quite get it yet. I thought it would happen after the event and should have known some analyst would get out in front.

My own view is that 2015 e estimates are still so low compared to what I think they will actually be, and therefore the stock is susceptible to comments from this jackass more than it should be. I expect 2015 to be in the 7.50 to 7.80 range or as much as 10% about estimates. I simply think that the upgrade cycle to the bigger phones is all that matters and I also think the upgrade cycle takes a good 18 months to fully pan out so that next summer we are looking forward to perhaps a 9 dollar 2016 fiscal year. Margins should be supported by the pricing structure and the slow evolution to more revenues driven by software.

If I am wrong that aapl is about to pop 2 consecutive years of 20% growth, then these negative analysts are right and buying here doesn't make sense. If its going to have a 7.20 year, and then only a 8 year, is buying at 100 smart? I would think there were better options.

Very on-point article; thanks for sharing. In my circles, it seems that the digestion of this news, not the analyst report, was primarily responsible for today's drop. Apple should at least be keeping pace with industry norms for multi-level authentication. There wasn't a "breech", but there certainly is a lack of security options. It was just a few days ago that someone was posting in here about the perceived superior security of Apple. I think that perception, for whatever it was worth, was pretty seriously damaged.

Attention will now turn to the new products and services about to be announced. Next week will be an exciting one!
