Vans never has gotten a good rep from investors as a whole.

You are 100% right -- the whole reason I invested in VANS is because it's not Nike, Reebok etc.

It's sad when you lose money because you know *more* than the rest of the market!

By the way, is Airwalk publicly traded? What symbol?

Also, you may want to consider Quiksilver (QUIK) if you're into companies marketing to the alterna-sports crowd.
