It is because it terrorizes Americans, and that is the objective. They recognize that Americans see it as barbaric, horrific, and as a worst nightmare scenario. And that is what terrorists do -- they terrorize. The truth is they're trying to provoke the US because they are empowered by the perceived weakness of our country at this time. They know the US will only get stronger after Obama is gone, regardless of who replaces him. So, they're goading us. Even Obama may be forced to act before this over; there will be others. While it can happen at any time, the current weak leadership is an open invitation.
