Brent, the initial press release regarding Heidelberg was not indicative of a "significant" decrease in kit sales. The second release attempted to clarify that by stating the impact would be minimized through sales of other products and higher kit prices. As the first release indicated a meeting with Heidelberg in November, if the production number of kits were to decrease significantly, Presstek would have had no choice but to have already released that information as it would have been material and required.

Brent, I would anticipate the future time lag between Presstek's introduction of a new product and actual production would now be much shorter than the time it took to develop the Heidelbergs QMDI to a mass produced product. Obviously the company gained substantial knowledge from the first direct imaging on press systems which now enables thenm to provide a superb product. It is anticipated that the 74-Karat press may be available in less than a year from it's showing at Print-97.

If possible, Presstek needs to provide investors with information regarding their progress and provide some current news of their future product developments. Currently, there is so many false rumors regarding the Heidelberg Press Release and such negative speculation on Presstek's current and future prospects, I believe Presstek should set the record straight.

The following questions have been E-mailed to me from many different investors....These are a sample of questions shareholders ask......

1. Is Presstek now actively pursuing industy agreements and new manufacturing contracts in the U.S. and overseas for their patented technology. If so, are they numerous and are any of them now pending?

2. Is it anticipated that other companies (presses) will soon incorporate Presstek technology direct on-press?

3. What are advance orders with Pittman like for the Matchprint proofer? What is printer interest in this new product?

4. Is there favorable U.S. and overseas interest and a possible 1998 expected release of the on-can imaging presses from Alcoa?

5. What is the status of the Nilpeter direct-imaging label press? What was the industry award it recently won? When will it be available for production?

6. What is the expected 1998 target for platesetter sales and the industry interest for PEARLsetters worldwide?

7. What is the expected demand for the PEARLgold plates and what is the size of the market? Is there an appoximate number of existing presses that can now image these plates? What does PEARLgold provide that other plates cannot do?

8. What is the progress of the new Catalina technology line recently installed at the Presstek site and when will the line be up and imaging plates in house?

9. Is Presstek still adding employees?

10. What are the awards provided to PEARL technology and unannonced by Presstek but reported by all the trade journals?

11. Does Presstek expect to earn record profits and maintain the same excellent percentage growth in 1998, as received in 1997?

12. Has the SEC completed final settlement with Presstek?

13. Does Presstek have new patents pending...if so, how many?

14. What is the current interest and status for the Omni Adast direct imaging presse? How many installed this quarter? Approx. projections for 1998?

15. Are there other industries and market direction Presstek can pursue for it's technology?

As I do not have the answers to many of these questions, possibly Presstek can answer them.

I am going to be off the thread until Dec. 22nd as I will be traveling out of state.

Happy Holidays!

Neil
