The most important statement by ANY president since FDR: Tear Down This Wall. Which was the moment, for all intents and purposes, that Reagan single-handedly ended the Cold War. You knew I would say that, though. Because you know it and everyone who lived through the Cold War knew it. Our jaws dropped when we heard that on the Nightly News. Because we knew what Reagan had done. That moment defined presidential leadership for a generation. It will be important to see whether Obama backpedals on the comment. And important to see whether Putin takes him seriously. Or whether it is one more red line to be crossed at will. Putin knows Obama is not a contender. He's no JFK.
