Did you read the link I posted? Getting people to pay with their phones is one of the challenges facing Apple-- it may not offer enough actual value to most consumers (you and I may be exceptions).

The delta of improvement between pulling out your phone and pulling out your credit card may not be big enough to make a difference. It certainly hasn’t moved the needle for Android, even in countries like Japan that have invested significantly in NFC infrastructure. And, if customers won’t bother, neither will merchants

Thompson thinks as I do, when I posted a few days ago that using a watch to authenticate payments makes more sense than fumbling around for a phone at the point of sale. Fumbling for a phone is not much better than fumbling around for a credit card or cash. Payments could be the killer app for the iWatch, even if paying directly with an iPhone is also an option.

$25 is still to low for a signature. no one ever checks a signature and waiting for signatures just adds to the line.

25 years ago i implemented an adjustment policy for our billing disputes. anyone looking for a credit adjustment under $25. just issue it. do not try to locate initial billing , investigate, and adjust. the management thought i was crazy and not a serious accounting mgr. I ended up down sizing two positions after several months to prove we were saving money. of course a lot has change in 25 years, then i sometimes think nothing has changed. go apple.
