I think you've misunderstood Barry's intention, which is understandable, since you've not been around this thread in a while. I think he meant that the bulk of AOL day trading chatter should be conducted on the new thread that was started for that purpose last month:

I agree with your reasoning that the shorts probably shouldn't be using stop loss orders, as this just plays into the hands of the wrong people. Nearly every day, this stock is gapped up just for the free $. There are at least a few ways to hedge off the risk in shorting this bag of dirt, including long calls and short puts.
