>> People don't NEED it.

"640K ought to be enough for anybody." "The world market for computers is probably five."

"Who needs an Apple Watch?"

Initially, it is a want but eventually it becomes a need.

I was one of those who "didn't need the iPad" but changed by mind by the time it launched.

So... anything is possible. But in this case I don't see it happening. The iPad gave me something I didn't have before. I have a watch. That may be a bit simplistic but it's my buying decision, and right now the price point just kills it for me.

We'll see. Maybe I'll be richer in four months.

Apple Pay seems super cool but I'm locked into my 5S for another year and a bit, so that's a bummer.

Oh well at least we'll have some new toys in iOS 8 to play with soon.

Doren,

I think it will sell like hotcakes. Odd expression, never thought about it 'til now. Anyway, I was just comparing all the negativity to what we saw with the iPod, iPad, iMac, etc. All of that was dead wrong. I think it's dead wrong now to.
